MPI's Instructor Robert Butler, has put out his top 10 list for what he calls 2018, "a standout year for movies." A native of Ortonville, and chief critic at, DeFacto Film Reviews, Butler is an award winning filmmaker and taking the film industry by storm. This is the second year Oakland Press has published Butler's list of standout movies.

In an interview with the Oakland Press Butler stated, “It was truly a standout year that offered plenty of great films for many different viewers and tastes." Among the movies listed are Roma, Burning, Shoplifter, and many more 2018 Academy Award Nominations that were announced January 22nd. Read Butler’s full article here.
