The abstract of the documentary is the story of a young girl from the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, who becomes one of the best high-school basketball players in history. At the time when Lakota heroes cease to exist, SuAnne inspires her struggling nation, but dies on the way to pick up the Miss Basketball Award at the age of 17. Prophesied to do great things for her people, the story returns to the reservation 25 years later where she has become a household name and everybody’s looking for the next hero in high-tops.
