Job Posting:  Marketing Assistant, Motion Picture Institute

Description 

The marketing assistant duties require the coordinating and managing school social media, advertising and marketing campaigns, including answering incoming school inquiries and conducting face-to-face tours via presentations to prospective students.  The position also involves promoting the school to the film community, maintaining relations with graduates and tracking their past successes for marketing purposes.

 

Pay:  

  • $13.50 per hour (with potential for growth)

  • 40 hours per week, some evenings, one Saturday AM per month

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

WEB AND SOCIAL MEDIA

  • Manage school website

  • Manage school social media accounts 

  • Manage, edit, spellcheck, format and post blog-posts

 

COMMUNICATIONS

  • Manage, coordinate, format add content to newsletters

  • Contacting school graduates and alumni to check on their successes

  • Manage school email account and produce reports

 

SURVEYS

  • Track ROI from inquiries and applications

  • Create reports

 

REPORTING

  • Create inquiry reports

  • Assist with admissions and enrollment reports

  • Report marketing and sales activities to superiors on a weekly basis

 

TOURS AND INQUIRIES

  • Answer incoming questions about the program when the Director of Enrollment is unavailable

  • Conduct personal tours to prospective students

  • Schedule high school field trips, tours, workshops at MPI

  • Schedule high school visits and present the MPI program to prospective students

 

EVENTS

  • Organize, arrange and coordinate program presentations at open houses and school events

 

RESEARCH

  • Research ideas and costs for advertising and promotions

  • Research marketing concepts for the program

  • Research the costs and creation of marketing collateral

  • Research other film/acting programs

 

MARKETING COLLATERAL

  • Coordinate the creation of marketing materials

 

ADMINISTRATIVE

  • Answer incoming calls and directing them to the appropriate party

  • Take detailed messages and communicate to the appropriate party

  • Manage the front desk of the school

  • Manage and handle school files as instructed

 

Experience

  • Bachelors degree in marketing, advertising or public relations with course work in social media and web content

OR

  • Two or more years working in social media.  Reference and portfolios required

 

Required Skills

  • Strong writing skills - Sample 500-750 sample blog-post / news article sample required

  • Basic computer skills, (Windows, MS Work, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)

  • Social Media Etc.  Mailchimp, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram,
     

Preferred Skills

  • Photography, Videography/Editing, Photoshop, In-design, Basic Graphic Design Concepts

  • Public speaking.
