Aric Prebelich's award winning thesis film has been accepted into several film festivals. Aric graduated just a few months ago in 2016 and submitted his short dramatic film Surreptitious into the festival circuit afterwards. Written and directed by him, Surreptitious was the winner of Best Picture at the Motion Picture Institute graduation premieres. In addition to winning Best Picture, Michael Kettenbeil won Best Cinematography, Nick Bottesi won Best Sound, Tomaki Boaz won Best Art Direction, and Aric Prebelich won the award for Best Short Screenplay as well. So far, the film has been accepted into the Made-in-Michigan Film Festival, the Hollywood Boulevard Film Festival, Los Angeles Cinefest, and the Mindfield Film Festival, where it has a chance to play at Raleigh Studios in Hollywood. He is still waiting to hear from some of the bigger festivals which will be announced early next year.
