TOMAKI BOAZ'S CREATIVITY FUELS HIS SPEC SPOT FOR CHEVROLET

Director Tomaki Boaz (MPI 2016 grad) recently completed a spec commercial spot featuring a couple of classic Vets, a 1964 and a 2016 model.  Tomaki created the piece to add to his growing director's reel which he both wrote and directed.  He chose a location in Howell, Michigan that had nice open country roads and a farm in which to shoot.  The production schedule was tight with only one long day to pull it off. Along with his former classmate, cinematographer Michael Kettenbeil, they sketched out a rough shot list and some storyboards prior but did most of their framing and compositions on location. Shot on the RED Dragon the piece was designed as show piece for potential clients wanting automotive themed content.
