MPI houses two production stages.

Main Stage

The MPI Main Stage is an 1,800-square-foot, freespan space with 18' high ceiling. The The MPI Main Stage has an assortment of 5k & 2k Mole Richardson lighting units, Lekos, LTMs, Arri Softlights, with 600 amps of service accessed through three main distribution panels.

The main stage also has a 10 foot two person camera crane, Movieola dolly, Molevators, C-stands, and assortment of flags, dots, scrims, 4 x 4 frames, sand bags, chinese lanterns, and apple boxes. A dedicated 12' x 18' green screen wall enables students to shoot VFX for composite work in our computer lab.

Students use the stage for in-class and thesis film productions. MPI has a large assortment of wall partitions, windows, doors and arches for constructing environments for either their films or to explore lighting. MPIs prop and set warehouse allows students to dress their sets from kitchens to bathroom pieces.


Mini Stage

Mini-Stage

The MPI Mini-Stage is a 400 square foot space with a 18' high ceiling. This stage is ideal for building small, one room sets, shooting car interiors, table tops, or inserts. Like the main stage the mini-stage houses an  assortment of stage lighting equipment.
