WELCOME

The Motion Picture Institute of Michigan is designed for beginners with no experience as well as those with some film and video background. The MPI Program is conducted in an active environment where students learn by doing. And throughout the school year we assist each student to specialize their education so they may focus on their key areas of interest. "On set" education is our motto and that is where our students learn.

The Motion Picture Production Program is offered as a one year intensive course of study. Students take thirteen core filmmaking courses and one to three electives that allow them to specialize their skills.
