The MPI Faculty & Staff is comprised of working industry professionals who know the practices and tools of the trades. They bring their experiences and skills into the class to teach MPI students how to succeed. MPI is a school designed by Filmmakers, for Filmmakers.
Kurt Eli Mayry
Producer / Production Manager / Director of Education
Kurt is co-founder of MPI and a graduate of the University of Michigan with BBA in Business Administration. He produced the 1992 feature film Hellmaster, the 2004 film Dark Heaven, 2011 co-wrote & produced the film Dark Fields, and produced the soon to be released film Mimesis. Kurt has worked in the film industry for over twenty-five years starting out in the commercial production industry working for companies like Victor Duncan in the mid 80s and working on independent films.
His extensive business background has built MPI into a premiere filmmaking program. He has further incorporated his film industry knowledge and experience into the classroom where he instructs students on how to organize and manage their films..
