MPI has all the camera, audio, and support equipment needed to produce a quality film.
Camera Prep Area
As in the professional world, when students check out equipment, they must go through a checkout process that involves "prepping" the camera for the production. MPI has a dedicated Camera Prep Area for this purpose. The Prep Area has benches; DSC Lab and Century Focus Charts and bright lighting. This allows them to inspect, test and get their equipment ready for the shoot.
Equipment Storage
MPI equipment is highly maintained and organized. MPI has two dedicated equipment bays and a tool shop for film cameras, Digital & HD cameras, tripods, production audio gear, lighting. All equipment comes in high-end cases and tubs for the easiest portability.
MPI's camera inventory is constantly updated. Currently the school has 16mm, 35mm, DSLRs and the RED DIGITAL CINEMA SCARLET camera systems. Most cameras come with mattebox, follow focus and external monitoring options.
