The Motion Picture Institute is relocating to the NEW $80 million dollar Raleigh Motion Picture Studio under construction in nearby Pontiac. MPI will be one of the first tentant's in this brand new movie studio. The move will take place in this Winter. (more information to come).

Welcome to The Motion Picture Institute!
The Motion Picture Institute (MPI) is the oldest film school in Michigan and has been training filmmakers since 1998. Our Motion Picture Production Program is entirely hands on and is designed and taught by film professionals who bring years of practical field experience to the classroom. The program takes one year to complete and will be located in the new Raleigh studios in Pontiac, MI starting in May 2011.
We only accept students who are serious about learning and are passionate about the craft of filmmaking. They must demonstrate their committment towards pursuing their dreams of working in the film industry.
For our graduates, MPI is a continual support network of peers, mentors, and professionals. We provide creative, technical, human and equipment resources for our alumni to produce post graduate films. We are a production hub offering career services for those seeking employment on features and television.
